Automated Test Systems

  • Heart Pump Reliability Test System Development and Validation.
  • The Life Cycle Test (LCT) project developed several systems designed to collect and analyze the long-term reliability and effectiveness of a pulmonary assist devices. This system simulated the load characteristics of a human heart while an individual was in various activity states and then measured key performance parameters of the testing units. Once a test cycle started, the collected and formatted data uploaded to a SQL based database. Later data analysis of the data utilized web analysis tools we developed to let the quality analyst search for performance trends and potential deficiencies of the pulmonary assist device. In addition, the system data was instrumental in ensuring the product met FDA regulations and successful clinical trials.

  • Heart Pump Simulator for Flow Estimation Validation.
  • This system simulator created a virtual Heart pump. This system produces a detailed model of the heart to estimate the effects on flow when varying circulatory loop parameters as applied to the left and/or right ventricle when subjected to a ventricular assist devise.

  • Flex Assemble Test System
  • This Automated test system set up a test system for our customer that let them test one to eight assemblies simultaneously. This design verified that each product assembly was to specification and met their customer reliability requirements.
